New Interview with Joss Whedon!

Welcome back, guys! Alright, now I have a neat little interview with The Avengers director, Joss Whedon! He took some time out from his busy schedule during the marketing blitz to talk with some college newspapers about his experience making the film. Check out the interview below!

My Thoughts:
I think this is a pretty cool interview. I've already read some other interviews given by Joss regarding this movie, and the more I read from him, the more I love him. He really seems like he was the right guy for this gig. I also agree with him that some summer movies nowadays do tend to be a little cynical. Some either rely too much on spectacle and big over the top action with CGI rather than story, and others just take themselves way too seriously on purpose because that's what a good chunk of the general audience seems to like. There should be more movies out there with both a good story and characters while also having a sense of fun and excitement. If you mix those together, you have a recipe for a great film and blockbuster! Overall, Joss seems like a guy that really loves what he does. Since I'm an aspiring filmmaker myself, I always love to hear from people in the industry who love what they do! It's always encouraging to hear these kinds of comments!
