The Avengers: Behind the Scenes
Hey guys! Alright, so we have a neat little video right here. Norton Anti-Virus has teamed up with Marvel to bring a special behind the scenes video of their upcoming blockbuster The Avengers together. Check it out above!
My Thoughts:
I think that this is pretty cool! I've always loved these behind the scenes videos for movies because I think it's cool to see how it all comes together. Since this is something I hope to do one day, I think these videos are a good way to show me what I should expect when working on something, be it a tv show, film, or anything else. This being an Avengers behind the scenes makes it more awesome lol.
What do you guys think? Do this behind the scenes interest you? Does it not? Are you not sure? Say what you feel in the comments below! Later!

Men in Black 3 Aliens

Hey guys! We have some new images from the upcoming third installment of the Men in Black franchise, coming from fansite ComicBookMovie.com. Here's the link for the images:

These images show legendary visual effects artist Rick Baker and the retro alien designs he created for the film. Check them out above!
My Thoughts:
I have to say, I'm liking the look of this! If you've seen the trailer for this movie, you probably know that this new movie involves Agent J (Will Smith) going back in time to the 1960's. From what I read, Mr. Baker wanted the aliens in that era to resemble the ones you might see in those cheesy 1960's sci-fi films. I think he nailed it! I've always enjoyed the MIB films, and this one looks to be a lot of fun!
What do you guys think? Do you like the look of the aliens? Do you not? Does the film interest you? Leave your comments below! Dig ya later!

New Trailer for Prometheus
Welcome back! Seem to have quite a few trailer posts, huh? Well, here we are with the new trailer for Ridley Scott's upcoming science fiction film, Prometheus! Check it out up above!
My Thoughts:
I gotta say, this was a pretty awesome trailer! I've always been a fan of science fiction, so this looks right up my alley. Ridley Scott has always been an amazing director with such films as Alien, Blade Runner, Legend, Gladiator, and Black Hawk Down, so I expect nothing different from him this time. From the info I read, this new film takes place in the same universe as the Alien series, but is not directly connected to it. Seems like kind of a cool concept. With actors such as Idris Elba, Charlize Theron, and Michael Fassbender (who played Magneto in X-Men: First Class, another good film), I expect some strong performances to be present. All in all, this looks to be a great film.
What do you guys think? Do you think the film looks good? Do you not? Not sure? Give your thoughts in the comments below! Later!

New Dark Shadows Trailer
Hello again! Here we have the new trailer for Dark Shadows, Tim Burton's upcoming film adaption of the classic gothic soap opera starring Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins. Check it out above!
My Thoughts:
Now, I usually like Burton's films. Nightmare Before Christmas is a classic and Beetlejuice is a cool film. Depp is usually very good in his roles too, examples being Jack Sparrow and Edward Scissorhands. I'm not very knowledgable about the original Dark Shadows show, but I do know that it was a soap opera featuring vampires and other horror-specific elements. When I heard Burton was doing a new version of this, I thought he would have great potential to make this a good film, since it seems like his style. But, the thing is, I'm not so sure about this after watching the trailer. The movie seems like it has way too much of a comedic tone, and from what I know, the original show wasn't so comedic. I always liked Burton as a director, but I can honestly say that his recent offerings haven't lived up to what he used to do in the 90's. This doesn't seem like it will be any different. But, who knows? Maybe this trailer is misleading and the film could turn out better than I expect. If the film gets good reviews, I'll probably consider checking it out.

New Battleship Trailer
Hey there! The new trailer for the upcoming adaption of the board-game, Battleship, is now out and ready for viewing. Check out the trailer above!
My Thoughts:
I'll be honest, I'm not so sure about this one. This has potential to be either really bad or somewhat decent. I personally think it may be an okay "dumb movie", meaning it will probably be one of those films where you just turn off your brain for a couple of hours. I'm getting a pretty strong Transformers vibe from this trailer, too. Ironic, because Hasbro, who did Transformers, is also doing this. I might check it out once it comes to On Demand. I don't know if I'll spend money to see it in theaters. If I do, it'll probably be a matinee. But, you do get an awesome actor in Liam Neeson.
So, what do you guys think of the trailer? Did you like it? Dislike it? Would you spend money to see this? Sound off in the comments below! See you all next time!

The Avengers Run-Time Confirmed

Hey guys! I thought for my first post, I'd report on something related to my personally most anticipated film this summer, The Avengers. This news comes from an article on Collider. Here's the link for the article:
In this lengthy article, director Joss Whedon announces that the official run-time for the well-anticipated superhero team-up film is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Whedon also says that his first cut of the film was 3 hours long. That's approximately 45 minutes shorter than the original cut. The reason those minutes were cut from the finished film? They were pretty much filler scenes with extra baggage that he personally loves, but feels that they didn't really do anything to move the plot forward or add any benefit to the film. Whedon says that this kind of baggage is okay to do in a television series, since you have a whole season to tell a story, but for a film, it's not really the best thing to put in. Check out the rest of the article for some more Avengers related goodness!
My Thoughts:
I think this is a solid run-time for this kind of film. I was hoping it would be about 15 minutes longer, but I can live with 2 hours and 15 minutes. Joss Whedon did say that each member of the titular team would get a fair share of screen-time and character development, so I think this run-time is just fine to juggle that and a decent amount of action. Some fans think this may not be enough time, but I trust Mr. Whedon knows what he is doing. He knows fans have been waiting for this film ever since the original Iron Man, so there's no way he'll try and screw this up. Longer is not always better, I say. While I don't mind long movies, I think they should only be long if they absolutely need to be or the longer run-time can benefit the film overall. I can think of a couple of films that were either 2 and a half or 3 hours long and really didn't need to be. One example is Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The final battle scene in that film went on for WAY too long, and I kept thinking to myself, "is this ever gonna end?". Peter Jackson's King Kong is another example. That movie really did not have to be 3 hours long. But anyway, I feel like this run-time is just right for The Avengers.
So, what do you guys think? Do you think this is a good run-time for the film? Is it too long? Too short? Give your thoughts in the comments below! See ya next time!
